BIO MPA

Relement has an initial focus on our launching product bio MPA (3-methylphtalic anhydride, molecular structure shown below), which has an uniquely situated methyl-group and is only accessible from non-edible biomass sources. In May 2023 we finalized a successful pilot plant run for the production of bio MPA at the multi purpose pilot plant of Solvay in Lyon (now part of Syensqo).

In December 2024 Relement has contracted Allessa GmbH in Frankfurt to start industrial production of bio MPA. Samples as well as industrial ton-scale volumes can be requested. 

By testing our bio-based aromatics in various products, we continuously discover new benefits over the current fossil based aromatics. Together with customers or in-house, we explore a plethora of opportunities.
